5 Christmas Fundraising Crackers

The Big Give Christmas Challenge may be over for another year, but there are still lots of ways you can raise money for African Children’s Fund in the run-up to Christmas. Here are five of our favourite fundraising top tips:

1) Send e-Cards with DontSendMeACard.com

Have you left your Christmas cards to the last moment and run out of time? Is the cost of postage too high? Or do you simply prefer a greener alternative to a traditional card? DontSendMeACard.com is the answer you’ve been looking for! Through their website, you can make a donation to African Children’s Fund and select an e-card for your friends and family, with your own personalised greeting.

2) Be a Good Cause Santa Claus

Turn to your local charity shops during Christmas shopping season, for unique gifts at reasonable prices. In our Faringdon, Grove and Witney charity shops, you’ll find decorations, toys & games, clothes and pretty homeware items to gift to your friends & family. Or, follow in the footsteps of the Juice Networking group and insist your Secret Santa crew buy their pressies from one of our charity shops!

3) Buy African Children’s Fund Christmas Cards

If traditional Christmas cards are your thing, we have a lovely range of African Children’s Fund designs that you can find in packs of 10 in our charity shops, or online in our eBay Store. With a variety of designs, you’ll find something to suit everyone in your address book!

4) Play the Webmart Christmas Game

Jump, little Santa, jump! The annual Webmart Christmas Game has returned for 2024! Limber your thumbs up to help Santa jump over - and duck under - the obstacles in his path, to earn points. The Top 5 high scorers on Christmas Eve will win a £1,000 donation to the charity of their choice. We’ve done well with this over the past few years and last year, our supporters bagged 3 of the Top 5 spots. Can we be as lucky in 2024?

5) Nominate African Children’s Fund to win £1,000

Benefact Group’s 12 Days of Giving is also back for 2024. If you haven’t already nominated us for one of their £1,000 prizes, hurry as you need to nominate us by 19th December! Daily draws take place between 5th-20th December and the more nominations we receive, the more chance of success.

Of course, your fundraising can continue into the New Year. Perhaps bring your pre-loved items into one of our charity shops once you’re giving your new Christmas gifts a home? Or sign yourself up for a sponsored challenge for 2025.

However you choose to support us, your contribution will make a difference to projects in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe, that help children go to school, giving them better opportunities for a more prosperous future.

However you choose to celebrate, we wish you good health and happiness for the festive season!
